Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City was founded in 1998 under the patronage of the late Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a former Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The vision behind establishing the facility was to create a world-class center of excellence dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and enhancing their quality of life.

The facility was officially inaugurated in 2002, marking the beginning of its operations. Over the years, Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City has undergone significant expansion and development to meet the growing demand for its services and accommodate a diverse range of patients with varying needs.
