Research Opportunities (RO)

This program is aimed to promote the Research Center and its services to other institutions and researcher internally or externally for future cooperation. The research center invites researchers from different backgrounds to attend a 3 hours session were the services and the procedure of conducting a research at SBAHC is explained to them.

SBAHC Undergraduate Research Opportunities (SURO)

The Research and Scientific Center is pleased to announce the launching of SBAHC- Undergraduate Research Program.

The SBAHC undergraduate Research Program is designed for students with no research experience to be trained and guided for developing research skills which will enable them to collaborate with other faculty or conduct independent research projects in the future.

The program is consisting of 20 batches and each batch consists of 5 students and will be hosted by the Research Center to conduct the assigned research projects that will be supervised by one of our City staff. At the end of one year, each group of students will be able to publish one to two papers in an ISI Journal.

5000 SR and can be paid in installment (2500 SR) and the second payment after 6 months from the starting date.

Deadline of submission is when all 20 batches are completed, the program will resume once there is a vacant group.

Program eligibility:
  • All medical and paramedical students (juniors, seniors, interns or residents)
  • To be able to commit at least 10 hours a week to program/research-related activities.
  • Students can come to the city and work on their projects on their preference and suitable time and date (flexible scheduling)
  • Research Centre is providing a list of research projects that students can choose their preference and interested topic.
Courses Provided by RSC paralleling Clinical practice:
  • Principles and Practice of Medical Research (with certification).
  • Medical Statistics Made Easy (with certification).
  • Writing a Scientific Manuscript (with certification).
Students will be granted:
  • Good clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate.
  • Gate access.
  • Health Information System (HIS) access.
  • The National committee of Bioethics (NCPE) of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).
  • Badge ID.
  • Stationary with PC.

Research Attachment Program

Research Attachment Program: is a program for medical and paramedical trainees who is willing to go for one-year unpaid attachment training in Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian city in the field of medical research. The term attachment refer to involvement of the trainee in the daily work of the research center with no professional responsibilities based on the preplanned one-year program that may involve in addition to research center other departments within SBAHC or any other medical or research institute liaising with the research and Scientific Centre.
