Research opportunities Program at SBAHC


A collaborative program for which interested researchers can collaborate on research projects within the city (SBAHC/SMCS).


Objectives:
  • To provide Research encouraging environment for Researchers.
  • To Promote health care professionals and scientists from various institutions, work together to improve health care and restore function and quality of life for people with a wide range of disabilities.
  • To Translate research projects into meaningful and practical applications for patient care improvement.
  • Promotes clinical and biomedical research of the highest ethical and scientific caliber. Ensures that research at the city meets locally and globally accepted ethical and safety standards and that research resources are optimally utilized.

SBAHC Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (SURO)


The SBAHC undergraduate Research Program is designed for Medical and paramedical students with no research experience to be trained and guided for developing research skills which will enable them to collaborate with other faculty or conduct independent research projects in the future.
The program consists of 20 batches and each batch consists of 5 students and will be hosted by the Research Center to conduct the assigned research projects that will be supervised by one of our city staff. At the end of one year, each group of students will be able to publish one to two papers in an ISI Journal.


Program eligibility:
  • All medical and paramedical students (juniors, seniors, interns or residents).
  • To be able to commit at least 10 hours a week to program/research-related activities.
  • Students can come to the city and work on their projects on their preference and suitable time and date (flexible scheduling).
  • Research Centre is providing a list of research projects that students can choose their preference and interested topic.

Courses Provided by RSC paralleling Clinical practice:
  • Principles and Practice of Medical Research (with certification).
  • Medical Statistics Made Easy (with certification).
  • Writing a Scientific Manuscript (with certification).


Program Fees:
5000 SR and can be paid in installment (2500 SR).
